About O'Neil Gas Services

We are a family run company, with our head office based in Ayr. Started in 1995 with only five employees by John O’Neil the company is now run by son Brian O'Neil, who has helped grow the company and increase the workforce to twenty two, all from the local community. We have engineers who live & work all over Ayrshire which has allowed us to offer the local personal service that our customers want but at the same time having the size of workforce and office based backup that allows us to deliver the highest level of customer care in Ayrshire for the last 16 years.  

We have 18 engineers all Gas Safe registered and qualified to install, service & repair all makes and models of gas appliance. We are also qualified to carry out work on LPG caravans and have four commercial engineers qualified to work in hotels, office buildings, churchs, leisure centres, factories etc.

We cover all of Ayrshire & have an engineer available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for emergency calls. Each year we carry out over 20,000 service and breakdown visits for private customers as well as Local Ayrshire Councils and Housing Associations.

Over the last sixteen years we have built up a large customer base in the public and private sector, mainly due to our local reputation for quality and reliability. In the last sixteen years we have taken on five apprentices from the local community and paid for three years of college education, allowing them to become qualified engineers and work in the local community.

We also assist South Ayrshire Council with the training of their apprentices. Over the last few years we have been involved in the training of these young apprentices in the area of gas safety. We are proud that South Ayrshire Council approached us to help these local youngsters become fully trained tradesmen.

As an established Ayrshire company we we feel its our responsibility to invest time and money back into the local community. We are very proud of our strong links to Ayrshire and through continued investment we hope to continue to grow.

We have four parts to the business.

• Installation of Heating Systems / Fires and Surrounds
• Service and Repair of all Domestic Gas Appliances including LPG Caravans.
• Non-Domestic Gas Appliance Service and Repair for business offices, restaurants, pubs and hotels
• Sell gas appliances and fire surrounds from our showroom based at our head office in Ayr
